About Me

Kenneth Michael Bannister Galeano

I work in enterprise technology sales as a Senior Account Executive for Google Cloud Platform in Austin, Texas where I moved to with my wife in 2017.

I am an international business executive and empresario with a multinational European/Latin-American background. My life experiences are akin to a TCK (“Third Culture Kid” – growing up as an expat).

My father is a retired British insurance broker, my mother Martha Galeano was an accomplished Colombian designer and architect with Italian heritage who died of breast cancer in 2013. I came of age in Mexico but was born in Bogotá, Colombia where I studied primary and middle school at the private British institution Colegio Anglo-Colombiano, belonging to Beatty House.

I graduated from the ITESM University in Cuernavaca, Mexico with a BSc. degree in Business Administration. After graduation I continued running my own IT small business which I had started in 2008.

Taking a sabbatical from University during 2006 and 2007 I designed, founded and directed a Web 2.0 social networking startup called Amikoo. With about 30,000 users at it’s peak, momentum was in our favor for a while but the inevitable international expansion of Facebook halted our growth.

In 2012 I joined Google in Mexico City as an Account Strategist and was part of an account management team that sold Google’s digital advertising solutions (AdWords, YouTube) to some of the biggest Automotive and Consumer Goods brands in the world (Nissan, GM, Ford, VW, Unilever, Coca-Cola, P&G, among others). Being promoted to the role of Agency Lead in 2014 I continued in digital ad sales but with a focus on managing the business relationships between Google and the leading media agencies at the time: Havas, Starcom-Mediavest and Omnicom Media Group.

In 2016 my wife and I moved to Mountain View, California where I transferred to join one of Google’s most important sales teams; helping online retailers grow by harnessing the power of AdWords search ads.

I like reading and learning, working for a greater good, vacations, projects, house/electronic music, investing in stocks and real estate, writing, nature and animals, meditation and spending time with my wife Alejandra Moyers.
